Ashtanga Yoga
The Ashtanga Yoga method was developed in Mysore, India, in the early 20th century and is characterised by a set sequence of postures and transitions which are synchronised precisely with the breath. The practice can be modified to suit the individual and gradually becomes more challenging as the student becomes more practised.
In my Ashtanga Inspired Yoga classes, I honour the overall method of Ashtanga Yoga, but I adapt the sequence in various ways to best support my students and their lifestyles.
